Program Coordinator

Sharon Keplinger

Sharon began her association with PreSchool Family in 1982 as a parent with her oldest daughter in the newborn program. She joined more classes with her second daughter. Sharon taught the 18-30 month and Fours classes before succeeding Eleanora Jadwin as Program Coordinator in 1995. Sharon has a Master’s degree from Stanford University in Early Childhood Education.

Teachers

We have a highly qualified staff of twelve teachers committed to our program. Our teachers are all professionals and hold Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credentials from the State of California in Parent Education. Also our teachers all have either a B.A. or M.A. degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and meet or exceed state requirements for fully qualified pre-school teachers. Our teachers adhere to the standards of appropriate practices as outlined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Together the staff represents 150+ years of teaching experience.

Maja Engelhardt

Maja Engelhardt teaches a Fours class and has been teaching at PSF for 8 years. She was also a parent in the program with her two children.

“I enjoy joking around, being with family and friends, eating out, and learning new things.”

Christine Foster

Christine teaches an 18-30 month class. She has been a parent in the program for five years.

“I love to read to my kids, take leisurely bike rides, and scrapbook with friends.”

Terri Goddard

Terri Goddard teaches a Threes class and is returning for a third year. She was a parent in our Young Fives program.

Cindy Howard

Cindy Howard teaches the newborn classes and a Threes class. She has been teaching at PSF since 1999 and was also a parent in the program with her three children.

“Unstructured play is important for adults and children.”

Leigh Lien

Leigh Lien teaches a Twos class. She has been teaching at PSF since 2006, having been a parent in the program with her two children for 4 years.

“I love working with children! They never cease to amaze me with their creativity.”

Deborah Lundgren

Deborah Lundgren teaches a Twos class and has been teaching at PSF since 2001. She has been working with children and families since 1993.

“I love working with very young children and their parents. In my class anything with food or a good beat is all right by me.”

Monica McHenney

Monica McHenney teaches the 12-18 month classes and has been teaching at PSF since 1988. She was also parent in the program with her 2 children.

“High points for the summer: Wimbledon, the French Open and the U.S. Open. High point for the year: Federer is #1.”

Kylee Miller

Kylee Miller teaches an 18-30 month class. She has been a parent in the program for the past three years.

“I enjoy being outdoors with my family, reading, scrapbooking, and cake decorating.”

Judy Rattner

Judy Rattner teaches an 18-30 months class and has been teaching at PSF for 6 years. She was also a parent in the program with her 3 children.

“When I’m not having fun at PSF, I love to read, run, dance, and play tennis and golf.”

Karen Stein

Karen Stein teaches the 6-12 months class and began teaching at PSF in 1980 and 1981. She returned to PSF in 1988 and has been teaching here since then. She was also a parent in the program with her 2 children.

“I like reading a book and the newspaper in bed at night.”

Marjan Wilkes

Marjan Wilkes teaches a Fours class and has been teaching at PSF since 1995. She was also a parent in the program with her 2 children.

“I love to be messy.”

Laura Zweig

Laura Zweig teaches a Threes class and has been teaching at PSF for more than 15 years. She also teaches Creative Movement for the Fours class.

“I teach dance and movement to children of all ages and students in my pre-school classes enjoy lots of cooking projects.”

Staff

Susie Crane

Susie has been our school secretary since 1997. She is a native of San Francisco and graduated from Stanford University. She is loved by all and keeps the office hummin’.

“I like to travel to Texas to see bats.”
